Toilet Training
It is a requirement that children are toilet trained before starting at the ELC.
This is defined as:
- Recognising when they need to go.
- Wiping independently.
- No nappies or pull-ups.
Occasional accidents are expected – please pack a full spare set of clothes and a plastic bag.
- Underpants are recommended for quicker learning.
- Toilet training should be completed over summer to support independence.
- If a medical condition affects toilet training, discuss with the ELC Director and teacher prior to commencement.
- Staff and children follow all hygiene practices.
- Frequent accidents can impact social engagement and participation in the program.
See uniform, spares & bedding for details of what to pack for your child.
