SINGING GROUPS (Years 2 – 12)

Our Singing Program offers students from Year 2 the chance to develop their vocal skills through four dedicated choirs, each designed to suit different ages and levels of experience.

Building from foundational singing for our younger students to more advanced vocal ensembles for senior singers, each group provides a supportive space to build confidence, teamwork, musicality, and performance skills.

Mini Vox (Years 2 – 4)

The Mini Vox choir is for our youngest singers from Years 2 – 4 with a focus on producing a quality, unison sound through song games, rounds and repertoire. In this ensemble, students will learn how to use their voices well and safely.

Junior Vox (Years 5 – 8)

The musical focus of our Junior Vox group is on producing quality part singing through technical skill development, exercises and a diverse range of repertoire from pop and classical to gospel, African and musical theatre.

It is an expectation that students in Years 5 – 8 involved in voice lessons and School productions are also involved in Junior Vox to develop their skill in part singing and performance practices.

Senior Vox (Years 9 – 12)

Open to all students from Year 9, the Senior Vox repertoire is mainly drawn from contemporary styles including operatic choruses, musical theatre and popular songs.

It is an expectation that students in Years 9 – 12 who are involved in voice lessons and School productions are also involved in the Senior Vox to develop their skill in part singing and performance practices.

The Cat’s Meow (Years 10 – 12)

The Cat’s Meow is a dynamic Jazz Choir for experienced and skilled senior vocal students in Years 10 – 12.

Choir entry is by audition.
