Uniform, Appearance Guidelines & Lost Property
At Mentone Grammar we are very proud of our students and the uniform they wear.
We appreciate the support of our parents in upholding high standards of presentation for our students both in terms of the uniform and personal grooming, as a reflection of the discipline and respect bestowed on their education.
The correct uniform must be worn to and from school each day (as per Uniform Guide) and items should be clearly labelled.

The AGSV/APS compulsory Saturday sport uniform was updated in 2025 to consolidate items and to ensure consistency across the uniform.
This was not a major redesign, and all the key design elements have remained the same. Some items have been updated in terms of fabric and cut and some of the tops have become double sided so there is a clash/away top when playing other ‘navy’ schools. Some items have not changed.
- Transition Period: Students can wear either ‘old’ or ‘new’ sport uniform until the end of the Sport Uniform transition which concludes at the end of Term 1, 2027.
- All students must in the updated kit for the start of the 2027 winter season (Term 2, 2027).
Students must be in the correct Mentone Grammar branded uniform for all Saturday sport and must have all required safety and playing accessories.
Only what is necessary for school use should be brought to school and all belongings must be clearly labelled.
