To withdraw a student from Mentone Grammar, both parents (unless one parent has sole legal decision-making authority for the child) must provide the Principal and Registrar with at least one full term’s written notice sent via email to:

• enrol@mentonegrammar.net

If the required notice is not provided, this is likely to result in a charge equivalent to one term’s fees in lieu of notice.

• Not returning in Term 3 (2026): Notice must be given by Monday 20 April 2026
• Not returning in Term 4 (2026): Notice must be given by Tuesday 14 July 2026
• Not returning in Term 1 (2027): Notice must be given by Monday 5 October 2026
• Not returning in Term 2 (2027): Notice must be given by Friday 29 January 2027
• Not returning in Term 3 (2027): Notice must be given by Monday 12 April 2027
• Not returning in Term 4 (2027): Notice must be given by Tuesday 13 July 2027
• Not returning in Term 1 (2028): Notice must be given by Monday 4 October 2027 

Families who withdraw their child may place their child on the waitlist to potentially re-enter the School in the future. Enrolment at Mentone Grammar is highly competitive, and waitlists are extensive. Placement on the waitlist does not guarantee enrolment. Places are offered in accordance with the School’s waitlist priorities, as well as the date and time of application.

Key intake years, when additional classes are typically offered, are:

• Three-Year-Old Kindergarten
• Year 5 (limited places only)
• Year 7

Entry into Pre-Prep, Foundation (Prep) to Year 4, and/or Years 8 – 10 is generally only possible if a current or enrolled student withdraws. Due to cohort capacities, such opportunities are rare. The School does not offer entry into Years 11 or 12, unless under exceptional circumstances as determined by the School.
