Transition Explained

The purpose of our age and stage transition is to familiarise students with their new teachers, peers, and surroundings, helping them feel confident and comfortable before the school year begins.

Specific year-level changeover, orientation days, and detailed transition information for the coming year will be provided in Semester 2 (Terms 3 & 4).

Transition Days

For families joining the School, please note that transition activities may affect your child’s Term 4 arrangements at their current school. If significant events are scheduled at their current school during this time, we recommend prioritising those occasions. Participation in Mentone Grammar transition days is flexible, and students may attend all or selected sessions.

Medical & Consent Requirements

Before attending any transition activities, new parents will receive an invitation to complete Consent2Go (C2G). This is essential to provide current medical information and consent for school activities.

Further details will be provided closer to the transition period, including guidance on what students should bring and what they should wear.

Access to Parent Portal & App

New families will not have access to the Parent Lounge portal or the MyMentone parent app until January of the incoming year.
