Chess Club (Years 7 – 12)

Chess is a powerful and engaging activity that helps develop critical thinking, problem-solving, concentration, and decision-making.

Through regular play, students learn to plan ahead, evaluate options, and take responsibility for their choices – abilities that support success both in the classroom and beyond. Chess also encourages patience, resilience, creativity, and good sportsmanship while providing an inclusive environment where students of all backgrounds and abilities can participate and excel.

Chess Club is open to all students in Years 7 – 12. No prior knowledge or experience is required to join the Club.
