LEARNING JOURNEYS
Our Junior School Learning Journeys program commences for all students in Year 3 with overnight visits to the School’s beachfront camp at Shoreham.
Years 3 – 6: Shoreham
Shoreham is a fantastic three-hectare beachfront camp on the Mornington Peninsula. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to spend time with their class engaging in a range of experiential learning activities. All students from Years 3 – 6 spend time at the camp, with each Learning Journey building on the Shoreham experiences from previous years.
- Year 3 | Term 4 | 2 nights
- Year 4 | Term 2 | 2 nights
- Year 5 | Term 4 | 2 nights
- Year 6 | Term 4 | 2 nights
Year 5: Sovereign Hill/Cave Hill Creek
To enrich classroom learning in humanities, students spend two nights in Term 1 visiting historic Sovereign Hill and Cave Hill Creek exploring colonial life and the experiences of different groups in Australia’s past.
Year 6: Canberra
Students in Year 6 will travel as a whole cohort group in Term 2 to spend a week in Canberra. With clear links to our Personal and Social Capabilities learning as well as humanities, English and our Global Changemakers program, the week in Canberra is often a highlight for Year 6 as they spend time learning about Australia’s Capital City and managing themselves away from home.
